Can you describe a vegetable as being cute? If you could, here it is. My sister-in-law brought these round courgettes from her allotment for us at the weekend and they are going to be eaten tonight. It signals the start of the squash season which I love, not so much from an eating point of view but from a visual perspective. Squashes come in such a vast array of shapes, sizes and colours no one is the same and they all seem to have a personality of their own.
